Automotive Search Group is Hiring an AUTOMOTIVE PARTS MANAGER Near Montgomery, AL

Automotive Parts Manager needed for domestic dealership in the greater Montgomery, AL market. The successful candidate is an experienced automotive Parts Manager that understands the numbers in order to continue to drive profit, while also being a positive manager and mentor to their staff. It is important that the Parts Manager hired is someone that leads by example and always strives to do what is best for their department. The Parts Department has a solid team in place but needs the right leader to help get them to the next level. There is room for additional growth in parts sales / parts gross for the right leader. It is important that the Parts Manager hired is organized and process-driven. This is a great opportunity to get in with a reputable dealership group that treats both their employees and customers right.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervision over all parts department operations; hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all department staff
  • Works with sales and service department managers to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs
  • Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, wholesale accounts, and direct public
  • Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence
  • Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the parts department
  • Process daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, including analysis of sales, expenses, and inventory to maintain profit goals
  • Monitors and verifies parts department employees' payroll records and time logs
  • Supervises stock order procedures
  • Accurately price parts and accessories using the proper pricing source and keep the computer system up to date
  • Operates and oversees maintaining all departmental tools and equipment in good working order
  • Complies with and enforces all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Maintains a professional appearance and workspace at all times
  • Ensure that incoming inventory is stocked in the correct location
  • Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them
  • Coordinate and dispatch daily deliveries to wholesale customers near and far.
  • Utilized catalog/ordering systems offered by car manufacturers for wholesale customers to use.
  • Nurture and grow existing accounts by providing exceptional service
  • Work with counter and sales representatives daily to maximize growth opportunities at all accounts
  • Manages customer complaints or issues immediately and according to the dealership's guidelines, with the highest level of professionalism
  • Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Other duties as required

Compensation:

  • Compensation in the $110,000 - $130,000 range with room for growth.
  • Full benefits package include health, vision, dental, PTO, etc.
