**Position Overview**

Autodesk's Consumption engineering team is seeking a hands-on, experienced engineering manager to lead a team of curious, and driven engineers who will build the Autodesk's next generation metering and charging Platform. This leader must embrace diversity as a core guiding principal as to how our team will be composed and leveraged. The role of engineering manager reports to Director of Engineering will be , responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive vision for Autodesks buy experiences.

**Responsibilities**

Manage and mentor the software engineering teams

Work with architects, product owners, and experience designers towards a shared vision and contribute to product roadmaps and business strategies

Collaborate with a geographically dispersed team and stakeholders

Hire and grow top engineering talent

Provide insight, feedback, and recommendations to senior management

Automate processes and propose new tools and technologies when needed

Lead planning, execution, and success of technical projects through Agile ceremonies

Perform code reviews, evaluate implementations, and provide feedback for tool improvements

Work with Autodesk's engineering teams to ensure applications and services are highly available and reliable

Engage in technical and architectural discussions; collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, understand use cases, and build toward a cohesive technical strategy

**Minimum Qualifications**

BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

10 years of relevant industry experience, 3 years of hands-on technical leadership, and 3 years of people management experience (must)

Understanding of developing large-scale, distributed microservices architecture and platforms

Experience working with remote teams and other cross-functional stakeholders

Experience with Scrum and Agile development processes and methodologies

Customer-facing and service-oriented person

Recent hands-on experience within one or more languages Node.js, React (must),Java(must)

4 years experience with back-end programming in Node.js, Java or Python

3 years experience with React

Experience working with Javascript, React, Angular, or similar web frameworks is a plus

Experience designing, and building REST APIs, web services

Understand DevOps best practices, architectures, and methods

Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and writing build scripts

Experience with continuous integration tools, such as Jenkins

Experience with Amazon Web Services (i.e. EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, CloudFront, CloudWatch, Lambda, Kinesis, CloudFormation, and others) or similar cloud infrastructure

Experience with monitoring and logging tools (NewRelic, Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace)

Understanding of PCI compliance and security best practices

Familiarity with responsive web design

**Salary transparency**

Salary is one part of Autodesks competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $145,800 and $235,950. Offers are based on the candidates experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
