IT Helpdesk Technician

IT Helpdesk Technician

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide front line trouble shooting for helpdesk requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, remotely and electronically.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware, software and cellular device issues.
  • Research questions using available information resources.
  • Advise user on appropriate action(s).
  • Follow standard help desk procedures.
  • Log all help desk interactions within the help desk software system.
  • Redirect and escalate problems to appropriate resource.
  • identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
  • Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions.
  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates and document accordingly.
  • Be able to drive to remote offices for front line support and / or equipment delivery.
  • Providing IT and telephone support services to mid-size firm.
  • Windows server and desktop administration, setup, maintenance and support.
  • Help desk support, system trouble shooting and system evaluation.
  • System monitoring, backup, recovery and security.
  • Local area network management.
  • VOIP telephone support and troubleshooting.
  • Web / video conferencing setup and configuration.
  • Remote access management setup and configuration..
  • Hardware and software requirements creation, specifications development, sourcing, and implementation.
  • Application patch, upgrade, troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • 5 Years Experience in Similar Position.
  • Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and written).
  • Must be a Team Player.
  • Expertise in deploying and managing a wide variety of information technology hardware.
  • Expertise in providing help desk support and troubleshooting of office software.
