AtWork Medical in San Antonio seeks skilled and compassionate PRN Registered Nurses for Day and Night shifts in acute care at a local hospital caring for geriatric patients. In this role, you'll provide direct patient care, delegate and supervise nursing tasks, and ensure smooth unit operations under physician direction. Responsibilities:

- Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patients' conditions

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

- Monitor and record patients' vital signs and medical information

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and self-care techniques

- Assist in the coordination of patient discharge planning and follow-up care

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

- Proficient in performing ostomy care and managing ostomy appliances

- Experience with dermal fillers and other cosmetic procedures

- Ability to triage patients based on the severity of their conditions

- Skilled in specimen collection processing and laboratory procedures

- Familiarity with mammography techniques and interpretation of results

- Competent in ventilating patients using appropriate equipment

- Experience administering injections, including vaccines and medications

- Knowledge of family planning methods and counseling techniques
