An established organization that works to provide excellent social services to the geriatric population is currently seeking qualified Social Workers to join their interdisciplinary team of professionals in the Bronx. The base pay range for this position is $28 to $30 per hour. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of the offer. Responsibilities:

• Providing individual and family counseling and guidance to address the client(s) and family's problems.
• Offering relevant information to clients and their support systems regarding typical physical, social, and psychological development, as well as the challenges posed by conditions like impairment, illness, social stressors, and dysfunction. This includes strategies for coping and maintaining individual autonomy.
• Supplying detailed information about available health, welfare, education, and recreational services for older clients.
• Conducting eligibility screening, assisting with benefit applications, and advocating for clients to secure entitled benefits.
• Coordinating the direct provision of services such as transportation, home care, meal delivery, public assistance, Medicare, Medicaid, emergency financial aid, legal assistance, protective services, vocational placement, medical and psychiatric evaluations and treatment, and housing arrangements.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Master’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a similar field
• MSW Certification
