Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate coding and entry into the accounting system. Entry of cash receipts against Customer balances.

• Review and reconcile vendor/customer statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ensuring all payments are made on time
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records, both electronic and physical
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries
• Collaborate with customers and internal departments to resolve any invoice or payment issues, customer service – preferred skill
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred
• Proven experience as an accounts payable clerk or in a similar role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Proficient in using accounting software, such as Sage100
• Knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices
• Familiarity with debits and credits and basic understanding of GAAP
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
