Job Summary: This is an accounting position mainly responsible for assisting the A/P Supervisor in the processing of A/P invoices from receipt through payment and other accounting tasks. The position also works with department managers and employees to ensure accurate recording of payables and timely payment of invoices. This position offers room for growth for the right candidate.

Qualifications:

• Organized, accurate, and detail oriented
• At least two years office experience, including one year experience in accounts payable accounting software preferred
• Data entry experience, including ten-key by touch preferred
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated
• Excellent math and reasoning skills

General Responsibilities:

• Verify vendor invoices for accuracy of amount, date of receipt, signature, and departmental expense
• Accurately enters invoice data into the accounting system via direct entry or through Excel spreadsheets
• Selects invoices for payment and prepares checks and ACH payments
• Maintains invoice files in a timely and organized manner
• Maintains relations with vendors and is available to answer account questions
• Ordering checks and office supplies as needed
• Ensures mail is sorted and distributed daily
• Performs a variety of tasks as required by the Finance Manager and A/P Supervisor
