The Department of Environmental Services (DES) Operations Service Area (OSA) is seeking an Operations Management Specialist to identify, develop, and implement applied field technology into DES operations to increase operational performance reliability, service and safety, conduct research, and recommend and implement process improvements across bureaus.
The OSA consists of the Equipment Bureau, Solid Waste Bureau, Water Sewer Streets Bureau, Water Pollution Control Bureau, and Customer Service Office, which, collectively, provide services to constituents and/or direct support for County operations.

A pre-hire background check will be made on all candidates who are selected for employment. You may be required to sign a release authorizing the County to obtain your background information.
This position will require duties at locations other than the primary worksite. The selected candidate must possess a valid driver license, or have the ability to use alternative transportation methods, and must provide or authorize Arlington County to obtain a copy of official driving record. Any offer of employment may be contingent upon favorable review of the applicants driving record.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Employees may be subject to occasional shift rotation, based on department need and emergency situations. Limited telework opportunities may be available.
