GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Responsible for coordinating daily HR operations, oversee employee benefits and enrollment including coordinating open enrollment. Responsible for all FMLA claims, Workers Compensation claims, and legal correspondence is answered in a timely manner. Assist in the recruitment and on-boarding process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensures employees benefit elections are processed and accounted for, working with external and internal parties to ensure accuracy.
2. Maintains and updates the HRIS and other platforms as needed.
3. Work with managers to interpret and administer policy and procedures.
4. Respond to requests of information or audits in a timely manner.
5. Serve as the point of contact for the 401k plan administrator. Ensure eligible employees are aware of their ability to elect into the 401k profit share plan.
6. Plan and schedule trainings and recertification programs for staff.
7. Answer garnishments and unemployment claims in a timely manner.
8. Maintains employee referral program, scrub vouchers, and ID badges.
9. Researches and creates job descriptions for newly created positions and revises current job descriptions when needed.
10. Follows established term procedure. Conducts exit interviews, sends relevant end of employment paperwork, and maintaining files for reporting.
11. Participates in assigned committees and on assigned projects.
12. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Specific knowledge of Human Resources. Bachelors degree preferred.4 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. SHRM or equal certification preferred but not required.
EMPLOYEE CONTACT
Contacts with other departments or offices and also frequently with individuals in middle level positions; consulting on problems which necessitate judgment and tact in presentation to obtain cooperation or approval of action to be taken. Also, important contacts with associates as required in advanced supervisory jobs, plus frequent contact with senior level internal officials.
USE OF MACHINES, EQUIPMENT AND/OR COMPUTERS
Regular use of highly complex machines and equipment; specialized or advanced software programs.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal working conditions as found within an office setting, wherein there is controlled temperature and a low noise level, plus a minimum of distractions.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Effective communication skills, oral & written.
• Experience in Word, Excel, Paylocity HRIS and other applicable database programs helpful.
• Knowledge of benefits administration and management preferred.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effectively communicate with people in potentially stressful situations.
• Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
