Description

The Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and supporting front desk staff while responsible for checking in and checking out patients during peak times. Responsible for maintaining a high level of patient care and acting as an educational resource for front desk staff. Responsible for assisting front desk staff wherever needed. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for daily front staff schedule.
2. Responsible for keeping daily schedule up to date and re-assign staff as needed throughout the day. Responsible for scheduling adequate front desk staffing.
3. Responsible for the general flow of patients and assigning front staff and support staff to cover patient volume.
4. Responsible for providing guidance on front desk procedures and answer questions regarding protocol.
5. Responsible for helping develop and implement training and education to train new staff.
6. Responsible for documenting performance of front desk staff and report this to the Operations Manager.
7. Responsible for meeting with management team to discuss personnel issues and address and solve problems among staff.
8. Responsible for keeping patients informed of status by informing them if provider has had to leave to go to hospital or other unforeseen issues.
9. Listen to Team feedback and help resolve issue/conflicts. 
10. Report system issues with phones, faxes for EMR (Athena). 
11. Responsible for all regular duties as outlined in the Receptionist Job Duties. 
12. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school or GED diploma required with two years of customer service experience minimum. Proven work experience as a previous Team Lead or in a Supervisory role, preferably in a healthcare setting, with leadership abilities and a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential matters. Good PC and communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
