Summary: The Human Resources Assistant will assist the HR Manager and Director with various administrative tasks including recruiting, benefits, pay, leave, and maintaining records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following**

Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervisory responsibilities.
Education/Experience: A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is required, plus 1 year of experience and/or training in the human resource field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
· Proficiency in Microsoft especially Word and Excel
· Good interpersonal communication skills both face-to-face and on the phone.
· Tenacity in tracking down information through various sources.
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic documents; read and comprehend simple instructions.
· Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees
· Write documents and draft effective reports that conform to a prescribed style and format.
· Ability to effectively communicate and present information to management and other staff
· Compose short correspondence, memos, and email using correct grammar and spelling
· Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
· Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
· Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions based on the data.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
· Deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license required.
Physical Demands: The employee may be required to sit, stand, and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth vision.
Work Environment: Office environment which can be stressful at times with multiple phones ringing, high volumes of email requests, and meeting with employees as necessary. Travel outside the office is typically minimal for this position, but is required for certain annual meetings including pre-open enrollment and vendor meetings.
