What You'll Do:

The Human Resources Administrator works under the supervision of the HR Operations Manager, The Human Resources Administrator resolves issues, performs benefits admin tasks, processes new hires, and fosters positive relationships throughout the organization. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record keeping, file maintenance, and data entry. They are the first point of contact for employee questions related to Human Resources.

  • HR Operations Support
    • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Participate in the formation of HR policies, procedures, and employee communications as needed.
    • Process onboarding for all new hires.
    • Update systems, including adding new positions, configuration updates, and other customizations.
    • Create and manage employee files electronically.
    • Assist in creation of faculty files electronically.
    • Own projects through completion as assigned.
  • Administer Benefits and Wellness Programs
    • Process benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations in a timely manner
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits and wellness programs and assist in resolving any issues.
    • Coordinate with benefits broker to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services.
    • Communicate benefits and wellness information to employees through various channels.
    • Manage information file feeds to benefits carriers.
  • Data Management:
    • Compile and analyze data related to employee benefits utilization, costs, and trends.
    • Generate reports and presentations for management review.
    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR data in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
    • Create ad hoc reports for business needs as they arise.
  • Compliance
    • Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits and human resources and ensure compliance with them.
    • Assist in the preparation of required government reports and filings related to benefits and other compliance programs.
    • Complete year-end tasks.

What We Need From You:

To perform this job successfully, an applicant must have professional demeanor, understand goals and deadlines and possess excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills.

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, a related discipline or equivalent skills and experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources (benefits, compensation, and operations preferred).
  • Demonstrated success with highly detailed and deadline driven work.
  • Demonstrated success with customer service focused work.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in human resources or a related discipline.
  • SHRM-CP or HRCI-PHR
  • Proficiency in Excel
