Summary
Responsible for directing and supervising a group of employees involved in inspection and quality control procedures with regard to in-process material and finished products to assure that quality control standards are achieved.
Key Performance Targets
· Drive product quality from a customer perspective from concept to launch.
· Investigate production and quality issues, determining root cause and developing corrective actions as appropriate.
· Support quality assurance, engineering, and operation departments with techniques and methodologies for first article, in-process, and final inspections.
· Oversee internal and external quality audits to the AS9100 standard.
· Manage continuous improvement projects to shorten production cycle times, improve process efficiencies, and deliver conforming product.
· Analyze customer feedback across many different categories and identify and prioritize areas to improve the customer experience.
· Establish, manage, and monitor key performance metrics for suppliers, department managers, Quality, Operations and customer feedback.
· Identify and manage risks in the new product development cycle and address realized risks in production.
