Machining Express, LLC is Hiring a Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer Near Longmont, CO

Description

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector who is dependable, ready to work and contributes to the success of the company by inspecting, processing, documenting, and ensuring quality in our manufacturing processes. This position provides knowledge and guidance to the shop floor staff in conjunction with first articles and production runs, as well as manage the quality management system and ensuring the company is compliant with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards. 

Essential Functions:

  • Review and enhance current quality procedures, standards, and specifications. Oversee/conduct analysis to assure effectiveness into final product; meet customer requirements and internal quality standards 
  • Inspect first article and final inspections on all parts, and intermediary checks on floor throughout the production process, at least twice daily for all shifts. 
  • Work co-operatively with shop personnel to identify and resolve any nonconforming issues that are evident. 
  • Meet manufacturing operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implement production, productivity, quality, customer-service, safety, security, and health standards; resolve problems; identify system improvements.
  • Maintain manufacturing operations by following and enforcing standards and procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices; coordinate production schedule requirements and capabilities; ensure steady flow of supplies; solve production problems; direct equipment adjustments.
  • Investigate non-conformances and manage the flow of information to upper management.
  • Manage calibration program and tracking of shop tools.
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy manufacturing environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations; alert others regarding potential concerns.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years or more machine shop industry experience is required.
  • 3 years of 9001:2015 and AS9100 experience is required.
  • Recent experience and knowledge of a variety of mechanical inspection equipment, including Optical Comparator, Surface Plate Inspection, Calipers, Micrometers, electronic height gage, and hands on GD&T manual measurement experience is required.
  • GD&T expert is preferred.
  • Experience with 1 Factory is preferred.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish is desirable.

Work Environment:

  • Machine shop environment.
  • Machine noise.
  • Working with coolant and oils and other chemicals as needed.

  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours while working at the machine center.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Compensation (Negotiable based on experience):
$30/hour. Eligible for bonuses.
