We are looking for a Quality Specialist to be located at our Longmont, CO office.

Position Summary

The Quality Specialist ensures products and processes meet or exceed quality specifications. Working with suppliers, customers, and production to oversee quality initiatives and maintain the quality systems on all products purchased, manufactured, and sold.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Works with others to design, improve and maintain records to meet ISO 9001 standards.
• Manage non-conforming products and processes per documented procedures.
• Responsible for corrective & preventative actions internally and with customers and suppliers.
• Responsible for PPAP documentation requested by customers.
• Produce documentation for RoHs/Reach/Prop 65 Compliance
• Work with supplier to resolve quality issues quickly. Perform supplier quality audits as needed.
• Support the Assembly area as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Skills, Know How and Experience

• Associates degree, technical school certifications and or ASQC certification is preferred
• 1 to 3 years of experience in an assembly environment or Q.C. environment
• Good organizational and communications skills and ability to multi-task
• Ability to follow and interpret specifications for a wide variety of products
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Ability to generate data to produce KPI's
• Organizational and writing skills that will enable to organize, record, conduct, and complete multi-faceted projects
• Confronts and overcomes barriers to successful completion of task or project
• Works well in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
• Strategic thinking – thinks in future-oriented terms

Position Dimensions:

• The position will be reported directly to the Quality Engineer Lead
• This position interfaces with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and Warehouse without direct supervision
• The outcome of this job has a dramatic impact on safety, product liability and how our customers view ICS as a high-quality supplier
• Measurements of this position are internal first pass yield, the number of receipts and returns processed along with several NCM issued due to product non-compliance

Compensation Range:

• $23-$25 per hour
