The Role:
We are seeking a self-motivated, proactive Business Development Representative who will be focused on outbound lead generation, inbound lead qualification, customer integration and market initiative campaign management support.
This individual will work independently and collaboratively and will create value through proactive generation of qualified customer opportunities, developing new customers and driving profitable growth.
You must live in the Twin Cities, MN. area to be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospect and qualify potential customers using APPLIED’s target qualifications, via telephone, email, and other social networks.
  • Utilizing Applied’s MSECP format to identify adhesive potential, technology, and equipment being used, through inbound and outbound prospecting.
  • Identify key players, develop initial relationships, and generate interest with new prospects.
  • Create and promote the use of scripts in daily calls to effectively communicate value and move prospects forward.
  • Create, refine, and effectively deliver the use of objections and rebuttals to meet the needs of specific campaigns.
  • Act as the central contact point for inbound adhesive sales opportunities and route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Outside Business Development Manager.
  • Maintain and expand key information in CRM of prospective accounts, including the documentation of customer conversations and next steps.
  • Meet or exceed daily activity targets to ensure pipeline growth.
  • Be a key contributor in the achievement of annual growth objectives.
  • Assist with the creation and execution of strategy on key market initiatives and projects.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Must be well organized, process and data driven, with the ability to make decisions and act on them.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization, build and manage relationships, demonstrate resilience, and handle difficult situations with a positive “can do” attitude.
  • Proven experience & ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills, including a strong phone presence, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Desire to develop knowledge and practice of customer-focused selling processes.
