Summary: 
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Product Management to join our team and lead our product development initiatives. The Director of Product Management (Innovation Focus) will be responsible for overseeing the development and management of our research and development initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital banking, financial services, and technology trends, particularly in artificial intelligence, large language models, and prompt engineering. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading product teams, driving innovation, and delivering powerful demonstrations to inspire the art of the possible.

Location (Wilmington, NC, Austin, TX, Remote):
We have offices in Wilmington, NC and Austin, TX and while some positions are office based, we will also consider remote candidates depending on their time zone.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the R&D product strategy and roadmap in alignment with the company's vision and goals.
• Lead and mentor a team of product managers and technical experts, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform R&D product decisions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure successful product prototyping and iteration.
• Inspire a shared vision across the organization to build the next generation of digital banking solutions.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure R&D product success and drive continuous improvement.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related questions related to your solutions, both internally and externally.
• Manage the R&D product lifecycle for your team from ideation to prototype, ensuring products meet future-facing customer needs and business objectives.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the digital banking sector.
• Deliver powerful demonstrations of R&D product capabilities to stakeholders and potential clients. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7 years of experience in product management or commensurate success in a product ownership or product strategy role
• Strong understanding of digital banking, financial services, and fintech industries is a plus.
• Proven ability to develop and execute successful R&D product strategies and roadmaps.
• Hands-on experience with artificial intelligence, large language models, and prompt engineering; using generative AI to solve problems. 
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift based on new information.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
