Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Kitchen Supervisor/Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee our production team and ensure the highest standards of quality and consistency in our pastry offerings. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a startup environment and is passionate about pastry.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the production team, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
  • Oversee the production of pastries, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement processes to standardize production and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to develop new pastry offerings and seasonal menus.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years experience as a Pastry Chef or Kitchen Supervisor in a high-volume kitchen environment, preferably in a patisserie or bakery setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and recipes.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of pastry production.
  • Familiarity with 5S principles and experience in building processes is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
