Client Service Specialist

Position Description:

Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-paced, financial planning practice. Work as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial . Assist in daily business operations.

Assist financial advisor in managing and organizing office work flow with an emphasis on creating and delivering a consistent and reliable client experience that exceeds their expectations, and defines and differentiates the practice. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities.

This role provides client relationship support through interacting with clients to ensure accurate account set up and through acting as a liaison to answer client questions. The role will also perform other practice management tasks relating to client service as needed. Prepare and submit forms and information to home office as needed, maintain client data base. Responds to ad hoc requests, coordinates/tracks projects, and/or manages other business projects.

Position Functions:

Prepare Client Meeting Materials for Service Meetings

Prepare and submit all applications, forms and necessary information to home office to process business as approved by client in a timely manner

Address any processing issues as they arise in a timely manner

Work with home office to ensure accurate account setup and resolve issues

Answer questions and provide readily available information to clients, if requested and as allowable, as it relates to the servicing of their accounts

Maintain files and records in accordance with the records retention policy

Perform other duties as assigned by the financial advisor

Assist financial advisor with client contacts (phone calls and emails)

Set up and maintain client management system

Ensure timely contact of clients according to set schedule

Maintain records of client contacts

Scan checks

Maintain mail log and check log

Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as slated and required by advisor and/or Ameriprise Financial

Ability to support and provide guidance for compliance with the advisor’s practice

Positive attitude and sincere willingness to constantly learn and grow.

Education and Experience:

2 years of College preferred

2 years of similar experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
