• Provides services associated with damages, adjustments, or customer accommodations.
• Establishes and maintain professional relationships with transit properties and bus builders.
• Develops strong and effective relationships with internal customers.
• Develops tools to enhance repair or replacement of parts.
• Effectively communicates trip results by completing reports on all customer visits and sending updates to internal departments for suggestions on product improvements (i.e. manufacturing, quality, engineering, Key Account Teams).
• Prepares expense reports.
• Travels onsite to other transit properties across the United States and Canada with little to no notice.
• When field service is not active, the Field Service Tech helps support operations on special projects, process improvements, and supervisory responsibilities as directed by manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to adapt to various work schedules and flexible shifts.
• Ability to obtain a passport and travel to Canada.
• Ability to reserve travel arrangements and then get reimbursed for expenses.

• Must be mechanically inclined.

• Knowledge of product, applications, and/or manufacturing processes.

• Knowledge of how to troubleshoot and repair product.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings/blueprints.

• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and issues.

• Superb customer service, communication, and self-management skills.
• Ability to utilize laptop for processing and creating daily/bi-weekly status updates, trip reports, accessing engineering drawings, and communicating with team members.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to lift up-to 50lbs during installation of transportation seats including, but not limited to, seats, seat frames, plastic seat modules, boxes and barrier panels.

• Normal office environment with little, if any, discomfort due to heat, dust, noise and the like.

• Extended work hours and weekends periodically required. Must be open to working all shifts.

• Frequent keyboarding is required.

• Work frequently requires attention to details. Frequent pressures related to meeting deadlines, scheduling requirements and simultaneous projects is required. Work is frequently affected by distracting influences such as people, telephone calls, etc.
