Business Development
Corporate Partnership Development:
Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with existing and potential corporate partners within the pharma, biopharma, and medical device sectors.
Actively engage with multiple contacts within these companies to understand their goals and align them with ACEP initiatives.
Revenue Generation:
Drive revenue through the acquisition of grants and sponsorships for ACEP grants, programs, and meetings.
Develop and implement strategies to maximize support and increase funding levels from corporate partners.
Strategic Planning:
Work closely with the leadership team to develop and execute a comprehensive corporate development strategy.
Analyze market trends and corporate partner feedback to identify new opportunities for engagement and support.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Collaborate with various departments within ACEP to ensure corporate partner objectives are integrated into program planning and execution.
Serve as the primary liaison between corporate partners and ACEP.
Stewardship and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of corporate interactions, agreements, and contributions.
Prepare and present regular reports to leadership on corporate development activities, revenue generated, and partnership outcomes.
Event and Program Support:
Play a leading role in the planning and execution of corporate-sponsored events and programs.
Ensure that all sponsorship deliverables are met and that corporate partners are recognized appropriately.
Job Functions:
Schedule and execute annual meetings with ACEP physician leaders and key companies to introduce ACEP. Explore and identify opportunities for collaboration and funding support that meets mutual goals and mission. Travel to various corporations and other trade show meetings which will require 2–3 days and potentially more overnight stays, approximately 6–10 meetings per year.
Lead the planning and execution of the ACEP Partner Collaborative Summit and Program.
Manage ACEP Corporate Grant submissions with the help of the Corporate Grants Manager.
Work collaboratively with staff stakeholders to identify, develop project concepts, and prepare proposals for potential corporate research and grant partnerships.
Assure the overall satisfaction of corporate supporters and that all contractual deliverables are met. Monitor and report on fulfillment of sponsorship deliverables.
Recommend innovative promotional and fundraising strategies that support the College’s corporate development requirements.
Research and maintain profiles of corporations which have products in production or development that may benefit emergency medicine practitioners.
Generate and maintain reports of contacts, meetings, and funding request outcomes in Monday.com.
Supervise the development and maintenance of an up-to-date corporate opportunities overview and catalog.
Attend business and educational meetings as required to support the business objectives of the Department.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent related experience.
Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in fundraising, sales of pharmaceutical and equipment sponsorships for non-profits or associations, and project management including planning, budgeting, and contract management. Experience working in a medical society or foundation in a similar capacity is strongly preferred.
Contacts with corporation executives at all levels, including pharmaceutical and medical equipment executives.
Experience utilizing a sales CRM and other tools to support database management and sales efforts.
Proven track record in securing large (six-figure) corporate sponsorships and grants.
Ability to successfully grown and sustain corporate accounts.
Minimum of 3 years of experience managing staff.
Experience in a grant making or grant administration organization.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work well under deadline pressure.
Ability to accommodate shifting priorities and prioritize well.
Ability to work autonomously.
Excellent communication skills (written, oral, presentations).
