American College of Emergency Physicians is Hiring a PAC and Grassroots Advocacy Manager Near Washington, DC

The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) is the national medical society representing emergency medicine. Through continuing education, research, public education, and advocacy, ACEP advances emergency care on behalf of its 41,000 emergency physician members, and the more than 150 million Americans they treat on an annual basis.

Located in Irving, TX, we offer paid insurance plans (medical, dental, and vision), retirement, flexible scheduling, and more. This role is open to applicants local to the DC area only; fully remote applicants will not be considered. For local employees, a hybrid schedule of in-office work and work-from-home is possible upon approval by the manager.

The NEMPAC and ACEP Grassroots Advocacy Manager performs administrative and management tasks in support of NEMPAC and the 911 Grassroots Advocacy Network. This position serves as contact for ACEP membership, federal candidate campaigns, health organizations, advocacy leaders, donors, health industry PACs, and the public.

Applicants should feel comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced office environment while interacting with government and trade associations. Additionally, applicants should have experience working for non-profit institutions.

Our ideal candidate has…

  • A bachelor’s degree in political science or related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Five to seven years of PAC fundraising and administrative experience, including additional experience in grassroots advocacy within a trade/membership association.
  • Thorough knowledge of FEFC guidelines and regulations pertaining to federal PACs.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms for us in government advocacy.

Other desired qualifications include advanced Microsoft Office skills, experience working on political campaigns or in the healthcare industry, and ability to occasionally work outside normally scheduled hours to attend PAC related events.

We are an E-Verify and equal opportunity employer who prizes diversity and inclusion. We offer a tobacco-free environment.
