Become an integral leader with ABHM, managing a seasoned accounting and payroll team, and ensuring the financial management success of our multi-state communities.Job DescriptionReporting directly to the CFO, the Controller is responsible for the leadership and direction of the accounting department:• Effectively communicates expectations, goals and objectives as well as providing feedback on performance to accounting and payroll staff.• Ensures the company’s accounting procedures and financial reporting conforms to generally accepted accounting principles. • Develops and manages internal/external control policies, guidelines, and procedures for accounting operations such as budget administration, payroll, cash and credit management.• Manages, directs and coordinates the financial reporting processes, including budgeting, tax reporting, and financial audits.Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred• 5 years experience in public accounting and/or accounting experience in health care/senior housing• Prior experience with Great Plains accounting software desired.
