Position Overview: This position is responsible for the management and overall general ledger financial reporting. Responsible for the conduct of relationships with lending institutions and the financial community as well as the maintenance of fiscal records. Manages the process of general and property accounting, internal auditing, and cost/store level accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Monitors and confirms financial conditions of the company by overseeing audits, providing information to management and external auditors as needed.
• Maintains the company’s system of accounts. Keeps books and records on all company transactions, assets, and schedules to include lease, assets and amortization of loans.
• Responsible for tax planning, filing and compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, sales and other applicable taxes.
• Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures are accurately followed.
• Maintain and create banking relationships for restaurant depository accounts.
• Determines depreciation rates to apply to capitalized items.
• Oversee payroll for correct gross to net processing and Tip Trac accounting.
• Reconcile all cash accounts for company weekly.
• Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
• Maintain general ledger software.
• Enter monthly fixed, re-occurring and one time journal entries.
• Review and finalize restaurant level financials.
• Oversee accounts payable, including generating and distributing checks.
• Responsible for company’s cash management.
• Controlling Fixed Assets.
• Work alongside Vice President of Finance during annual budgetary process.
• Strong accounting knowledge.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and all component software, Restaurant 365, and Aloha POS.
• General HR knowledge including state specific labor laws.
• Ability to work positively and professionally with all associates.
• 5 years of experience in the industry preferred.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Good time management skills and strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, confidentiality capabilities, and time management skills.

• Preview experience supervising an accounting department, including the following areas: inventory control, cost accounting, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivables, fixed assets, and sales audits.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in multi-unit accounting preferred.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during working hours.
• The ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
