Amentum is actively seeking a Data Manager to supervise all data management activities associated with a large, complex project involving the maintenance, repair, and modernization of Naval vessels and associated ship systems. Locations for this role include Washington, DC and Norfolk, VA. This role will be hybrid (combined remote and on-site).
Estimate hiring salary range: $120-170k (salary rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data).

**Essential Responsibilities and daily duties will include:**
Collaborate with the Program Management Office (PMO) Team to provide data management services in support of contract requirements. Organize, store, and analyze relevant project data as professionally and effectively as possible, while also complying with security and confidentiality standards.
Utilize the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to manage all project data including, but not limited to, work packages, ship/work drawings and diagrams, reference documentation, Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), proposals, and contract deliverables.
Oversee the operation of the technical documentation library to maintain data integrity and availability in support of project task objectives.
Oversee all data management support activities performed by subordinate personnel and/or subcontractors.
Regularly monitor and evaluate information and data systems that could affect analytical results.
Assess system performance and make recommendations for software, hardware, and data storage improvements.
Manage all incoming data files.
Assist with recognizing and upholding digital security systems to protect delicate information.
Perform data mining, analysis, and reporting.
Ensure hours worked by technical codes for each assessment task are properly documented on each task for future data mining and workload forecasting purposes.
Develop electronic reports and maintain a system for ensuring location of requested documents and purge files as required by guidelines. Ensure documents are properly disposed of. Use office automation equipment and software to an extensive degree.
Assist Engineering Department Managers with copying, filing, shredding and assembling various documents as requested.
Aid team in gathering data for reports and assist with consolidating material.
**Minimum Requirements**
Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
3 years of experience managing a large Management Information System (MIS) for a complex project, conducting analyses, and translating data into reports for various users.
Ability to decipher and organize large amounts of data.
Ability to translate complex problems clearly and in nontechnical terms.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to work onsite and remote.
Ability to obtain a secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a secret clearance.
Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS (up to 25%). Ability to obtain a United States Passport.
