  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
The AWS telecom marketing team is seeking a marketing events manager to spearhead the development and execution of our events marketing strategy, driving awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
Your role will extend beyond the traditional event experience, crafting a roadmap that aligns with our organizational objectives and sets new bar-raising benchmarks in the industry.
The person in this role will plan and manage the execution of our most strategic events, and partner with internal teams such as product marketing, field marketing, business development, solution architecture, digital marketing, as well as external agencies to deliver bar-raising events for our customers. To be successful in this role you will need to utilize exceptional project management skills to manage pre-event communication and post-event follow-up to optimize lead generation opportunities. This highly motivated and extremely organized candidate must have experience planning complex in-person events, managing projects happening concurrently, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and experience working with multiple global stakeholders. This person will need to work effectively within a small team and think strategically, while also rolling up their sleeves and getting stuff done – no detail will be too small and they'll never say "that's not my job". They’ll obsess over details, display poise and sophistication in fast-moving situations, embrace ambiguity, and deliver results.
This role can sit in NYC NY, Washington DC or Seattle, WA only. Relocation from within the US only to these locations only.
Key job responsibilities
  • Strategic Event Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain an events roadmap that integrates seamlessly with marketing and organizational goals.
  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of event planning and management, including budgeting, timelines, and logistics.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and leadership, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Tactical Excellence: Maintain an acute attention to detail while managing the broad strategic vision, ensuring flawless execution of event-related activities.
  • Data-Driven Reporting: Deliver comprehensive post-event reports, offering a data-driven analysis of opportunities developed and influenced. This includes attribution analysis to understand the impact of each event on lead generation and conversion.
  • Materials Packaging: Coordinate the design, production, and distribution of event materials, ensuring they are of high quality, align with brand standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Utilize feedback and analytics to recommend and implement improvements for future events, aiming for innovation in how we present our brand and engage with our audience.
This role travels up to 20-30% of its time, including internationally.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $64,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
