Line Cook
We are looking for a professional Line Cook to prepare food to the Chef’s specifications and to set up stations according to the menu. Line Cook duties will consist of assisting with all their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations with all necessary supplies
- Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks
- Plating prepared foods based on Senior Chef’s guidance
- Working with Servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
- Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
- Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
- Answer, report and follow all operational instructions.
Skills
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook. Experience working sauté station. Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures. Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
Familiar with the industry’s best practices.
Job Types: Full time- PM shift (Mon-Fri Some weekend shifts available)
Pay: $24 - $26 per hour (depending on experience) plus tips
