AMADA Senior Care Mesa is Hiring a Caregiver Support Specialist Near Mesa, AZ

Position Summary An Amada Caregiver Support Specialist is the liaison between caregivers, clients and the operations team. The Caregiver Support Specialist role is responsible for building and maintaining caregiver relationships with the goal to increase employee retention and satisfaction. This supervisory position is a resource for training, encouragement, coaching and mentoring. The Caregiver Support Specialist reflects the values of Amada Senior Care at all times, and represents the outstanding and professional image of Amada Senior Care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Caregiver Supervision
Develops a relationship with caregivers that builds trust, support and understanding that Amada Senior Care values and appreciates their hard work and contribution to the Amada team
Determines what is needed through common sense and problem solving to retain the caregiver as a satisfied employee
Problem solves, mediates and documents all client and caregiver concerns/issues/incidents to ensure there is a resolution for client/caregiver satisfaction
Maintains caregiver files and accurate caregiver census
Updates caregiver certificates and documents
Maintains caregiver supplies
Responsible for caregiver on-boarding, training, development, discipline, terminations, retention and reviews
Provides technical help for Axiscare application
Organizes caregiver events
Demonstrate effective communication – this job entails a great deal of writing
Communicate with Schedulers caregiver satisfaction/issues/concerns
Communicate with Care Coordinator caregiver issues/concerns
Coordinate and communicate with staff about client and/or caregiver incidents
Document in Axiscare client and caregiver interactions
Take detailed messages and relay them to the appropriate person
Create caregiver newsletter
Covers client shifts if needed
Assists with assigning & scheduling caregivers with clients (directed by schedulers)
Assist with answering phones
Ensure outstanding attention to detail
Be prepared for weekly office and staff meeting – issues/concerns/praises and KPI’s
On call responsibilities
Work on call nights/weekends and holidays as scheduled
Answer all calls and text
Address issues if immediate
Fill shifts if immediate need
Communicate with clients and caregivers as needed
Take intake calls and forward to Senior Care Advisors
Work directly with the Director of Operations and owners of Amada Senior Care and assist with any tasks he/she assigns
Knowledge, skills & abilities
Strong dedication to reliability / dependability in adhering to attendance policies, and able to balance scheduling priorities in ways that do not adversely affect the clients and organization
Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently follow oral and written instructions, procedures, and accurately record documentation for clients and caregivers
Excellent written and oral skills. Able to use grammar/spelling correctly via text, and email to demonstrate professionalism
Highly organized with the ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to exercise good judgment and self-control
Ability to communicate and remain calm under stress
Good decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze information, evaluate results, and implement the best solution to solve problems or challenges
Exceptional interpersonal skills / human relation skills and bed-side manner that positively benefits interaction with internal and external clientele and their families and caregivers
Demonstrated ability to operate safely in the workplace and maintain safety standards
Ability to work autonomously and understand when a supervisor needs to be involved in decision making
Self-motivated, with a dedication to keeping up to date technically and procedurally, and applying new knowledge to your job
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Previous CNA or Caregiver experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to effectively handle multiple priorities
Proven ability to think with clarity under pressure
Likes to problem solve
Demonstrate initiative to work independently day in and day out
Schedule flexibility to work on-call
Basic Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Products, Mac Platform preferred) as well as the ability to learn new applications
Ability to successfully pass a background check and other pre-employment screening
Must have:
Valid driver’s license
Clean DMV record
Current auto insurance
Access to reliable transportation for daily business use.
Preferred:
2 years in a non-medical home care, home health, hospice or referral placement agency, recent college degree in a related field may be applicable
Thorough understanding of various senior resources
