Allied Resource Recovery Inc. is Hiring a PLANT MANAGER Near Waukesha, WI

PLANT MANAGER

Allied Resource Recovery (ARR) is a locally owned and operated recycler that has been in business since 1938. ARR is dedicated to improving our community and environment through recycling as a three-generation, family-owned operation. Our commercial division services Southeastern WI utilizing our dedicated fleet of trucks to pick up recyclables at manufacturing and distribution centers.

Overview: We are looking to add a Plant Manager to lead our consolidation plant team in Waukesha, WI. The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations in our single shift processing facility. The successful candidate will ensure efficient utilization of resources, adherence to quality standards, and implementation of best practices to maximize productivity and profitability.

Previous experience supervising a team of 8-10 employees in a production or warehousing environment with knowledge of paper grades, baling and material handling preferred to be successful in this role.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead, direct, and manage all aspects of processing operations, including shipping and receiving, sorting, baling and shredding operations along with daily preventive maintenance.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to optimize our recycling processes and meet production targets and ensure metrics are achieved.
  • Monitor the plant facilities, processes and programs to assure they meet legal and safety requirements.
  • Ability to lead a diverse workforce and effectively communicate and interact with the owner who you will report to.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting communication and teamwork to achieve production goals. Provide guidance on staffing, training, employee relations and performance management to develop and enhance the hourly production team, working closely with direct reports.
  • This is a hands-on role requiring an individual who is a team player, has excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive and manage multiple initiatives. Excellent leadership and organizational abilities with previous experience in a leadership role at a manufacturing facility is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines will be critical in this role.
