Outpatient orthopedic physical therapy office in business 20 years looking for an outgoing energetic person to fill a front desk reception position.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
- Gathering insurance and intake information
- Scheduling patients and coordinating the schedule in general
- Answering phones and giving general information to patients
- Learning and understanding basic insurance information
- Accurately explain insurance benefits to patients
- Obtaining insurance authorizations
- Monitoring authorized patient treatment visits
- Looking up patient account balances for patients and collecting payment
- Sending out statements for payment
Requirements:
- Very friendly people person that is unquestionably reliable
- Excellent phone skills
- Good computer skills and ability to learn physical therapy billing and scheduling software
- Detail oriented and very organized
- Independent worker and self-motivated
- Excellent communicator and team player
Details:
- Hours typically 8:30 to 5:00 will vary from time to time, but can expect 36-40 hours per week
- Work Hours will mostly be consistent, but may vary a bit with schedule demands
- Attire: scrubs with first set will be ordered for you
- Work days typically are Monday through Friday with occasional variance
- $18/hour to start
- Paid holidays after 90 days and PTO after 1 year
- Flexibility with scheduling time off
- Constant communication with the practice manager and practice owners
- Very friendly work environment
