• Oakland Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team! This position will be responsible for coordinating the patient care process. The right candidate should be self-motivated, energic, and friendly. Prior OMS and dental office experience preferred. Knowledge of Practice Works/ WinOms software is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

• An understanding of dental office procedures and workflow
• Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
• Obtaining and verifying patient demographic information.
• Verifying insurance benefits and billing insurance companies.
• Collecting copays, co-ins, and coinsurance.
• Reviewing patient charts for accuracy and completing appropriate reports.
• Organizes and prepares daily charts
• Providing administrative support to clinical staff and surgeons as needed.
• Scheduling follow-up calls for patients.
• Scanning, filing, and updating patient records, merging data into patient records.
• Communicating with patients and referring doctors via phone and email.
• Maintaining a clean and organized office space.
• Other duties as assigned by the Practice Manger

Education: (Required) High School Diploma or GED required
