Duties & Responsibilities
- Specify, design, build, and support data warehousing and BI solutions.
- Design and develop data models, interactive dashboards and reports using visualization tools; to tell the story of trends, patterns, and outliers.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Analyze and document current business processes and workflows.
- Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and optimization.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in business intelligence, analytics and AI.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with large datasets.
- Design and maintain data models used for reporting and analytics.
- Collect, analyze and share data to help make strategic product decisions.
- Lead ad-hoc business deep dive analysis and present findings to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field or comparable work experience
- 3-5 years of experience as a business intelligence developer
- Demonstrated ability and track record of having to learn new technologies and expertise in adapting to new technologies.
- Experienced in data modeling and visualization tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik),
- Fluent in statistics, datasets, and scripting
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases for data manipulation and querying (Window Functions, CTE’s, etc.)
- Experienced with relational databases and data modeling concepts.
- Experience with ETL processes and data integration – preferred experience with Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with cloud platforms and databases.
- Familiarity with data governance principles and practices.
- Knowledge of advanced analytics such as machine learning, predictive analytics or AI.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and PowerShell.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
