Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless is Hiring a HR Recruiter Near Albuquerque, NM

Since 1985, Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless (AHCH) has dedicated its mission exclusively to providing services to people experiencing homelessness. AHCH provides a distinctive continuum of integrated care through outreach and site-based services to address the health-related causes and consequences of homelessness. Our vision is to live in a world that is just and without homelessness. We believe that homelessness is an issue that can be solved through access to quality health care, adequate and affordable housing, and a living wage.

We are currently looking for a passionate, mission-driven individual to fill the role of HR Recruiter. The HR Recruiter position joins the Human Resources team in its initiative of Workforce Excellence that supports our service to clients, commitment to staff, and the overall strategy of AHCH, Though concentrated efforts in building candidate pipelines via community outreach/relationships, identifying high-quality candidates, and participating in the HR onboarding process, this position is key in connecting those candidates who want to have impact in their community to an amazing organization that gives them the opportunity and voice to do so. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build community partnerships/resources to support a consistent candidate pipeline.
  • Review applicants and conduct phone screens/interviews.
  • Develop/design printed and digital recruitment materials.
  • Identify, schedule, and attend/table relevant recruiting events at universities, colleges, job fairs, etc.
  • Conduct reference checks on candidates selected for hire.
  • Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices.
  • Ensure screening/interviewing is conducted in accordance with all local, State, and Federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop strong relationships with hiring supervisors across departments.
  • Establish data tracking system for tracking, reporting, and impact analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in recruiting for all organizational employment levels.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in hiring practices.
  • Strong analytical ability to research and assess industry trends for targeted recruitment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships.
  • Comfort in making independent decisions.
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to manage a wide range of relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods.
  • Understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of active/direct recruiting experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with medical and/or behavioral health recruitment.
  • Previous HR/recruiting experience in a Community Health Center.
  • Previous experience recruiting recent grads and/or front-line, entry level positions.
  • Bilingual- Spanish/English
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant field
