Job Description
Accountant
Aladdin Companies provides financial services to businesses throughout North America.
Since 2010, Aladdin has been delivering outstanding customer service to our clients.
We are growing rapidly and looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Record daily general ledger activity
- Process accounts payable invoices
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Accounting lead for project implementations
- Primary backup for other accounting positions
- Customer invoicing and payment collection
- Calculate amounts due to vendors
- General Ledger reconciliations
- Maintain listing of fixed assets and calculate monthly depreciation
- Month-end close and generating financial reports
- Complete analysis of employee expenditures
- Filing and remitting taxes
- Implement accounting for new business lines
- Collect vendor W-9 forms
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Prepare and print 1099's
- Training new staff
- Writing and upkeep of procedure manual
Requirements:
- Bachelor or associate degree in Accounting
- 2 - 5 years general accounting experience
- Experience with Quickbooks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate or high knowledge in Microsoft Excel
- Personable, positive and enthusiastic attitude with an ability to deal effectively with people both in the office and in the field
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexibility with ability to work in a team setting supporting several people
