Preform Solutions, Inc. located in Sioux Falls, SD is a local, trusted, manufacturer of plastic products for the packaging industry, with over 20 years in Sioux Falls. 

We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to join our growing team.

Job Duties:

• Conduct analysis of product costs, production costs, and overhead expenses
• Determine how changing of material and material prices will affect cost to the business
• Review pricing of new vendors and products to compare to standard cost
• Purchasing of raw materials
• Update incoming sales orders (PO Sheet)
• Review and update monthly customer pricing
• Assist management with developing budgets
• Estimate costs for upcoming projects and equipment purchases
• Create reporting to show monthly, quarterly, and annual budget vs. spend
• Provide data to identify product margin and cost comparisons to management
• Meet with management regularly to review company financial reporting and notify of any irregularities
• Make recommendations for cost-savings opportunities
• Collaborate with others inside and outside of the Accounting department to complete projects and gather information needed to reach goals in the Accounting department
• Complete accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and other documents following both GAAP and company policies and standards
• Assist with special projects

Experience Required:

• Attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills
• Understanding of manufacturing processes
• Ability to use both QuickBooks and Excel proficiently, and other Microsoft suite software well
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• Ability to stay organized

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area
•  5 years of prior Accounting experience with prior responsibilities in Cost Accounting

Hours, Compensation, and Work Location:

This is a fully in-person onsite position.

Hours will be Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm, some overtime may be needed at times.

Starting pay will be $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
