Position Overview:

This is the opportunity for someone to work in conjunction with the Total Rewards Manager to create new processes and programs that will drive us towards a competitive total rewards philosophy in the logistics industry!

The Total Rewards Specialist is responsible for administering and overseeing AIT’s benefits, compensation and HRIS programs.

What You Will Be Doing Day-to-Day:

  • Administers all employee benefits programs, such as group health, HSA, flexible spending, dental, vision, STD, LTD, life, 401k and wellness. Responds to benefit inquiries from managers and teammates on plan provisions, benefit enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries. Engages benefit broker as needs arise.
  • Assists with annual Open Enrollment. Drafts and updates all employee communications including Benefit Guides, Presentations, and FAQ documents. Coordinates meetings with benefits broker and all vendor partners and schedules all employee meetings/ webinars. Manages all COBRA communications.
  • Conducts benefit orientations and explains benefits self-service system.
  • Oversee Wellness Program. Develops annual communication campaign. Educates employees on program requirements, partners with vendor on employee experience, resolves any concerns that come up and drives program engagement.
  • Processes and administers all leave of absence requests and disability paperwork: FMLA, STD, LTD, personal and medical, ensuring proper communications are taking place between Teammate, Supervisor and Vendors. Effectively administers FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leave of absences/disabilities.
  • Partners with Total Rewards Manager on analytical review of Total Rewards programs and initiatives to determine ROI and utilization, defines processes and illustrates value- added. Manages ad hoc reporting requests and collaborates with Total Rewards Manager to support regular reporting requirements.
  • Assists with administering the compensation and salary programs including the annual merit process, quarterly profit sharing and other incentive plans.
  • Provides support of HRIS including but not limited to: researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws and recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Keeps abreast of changing legislation in the health and welfare and compensation arena and addresses emerging changes with Total Rewards Manager. Maintains Plan Documents.

Other Skills We Hope to See:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of total rewards experience required
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Strong proficiency in Excel is required (Vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Knowledge and comfort with an HRIS
