Join a leading Global Sealing/Packing Products Manufacturer nestled in the vibrant Jersey Village vicinity, seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Engineer/Technical Sales professional in Houston, TX. If you possess a Mechanical Engineering background coupled with a proven track record in Sales/Technical Sales within the Oil & Gas Industry, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities:

  • establish new accounts and nurture existing ones by meticulously identifying potential customers, crafting strategic sales call schedules, and delivering unparalleled customer service.
  • furnish comprehensive data and technical documentation to customers, ensuring AVL/AML/ASL acceptance.
  • scout for new End Users and Distributors within designated regions, leveraging product benefits to foster mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • prepare cost estimates through meticulous blueprint and plan analysis, in conjunction with consultations with engineers, finance teams, and other technical professionals.
  • travel to visit potential clients, adeptly negotiating contract terms to secure profitable agreements.
  • create lasting relationships with customers and stakeholders, keenly identifying current and future service requirements.
  • provide unparalleled product, service, and technical support by promptly addressing inquiries and requests.
  • do in-depth market research to discern potential clients' needs and preferences.
  • give captivating presentations and demonstrations of company products to enhance client comprehension and drive sales.
  • consult with clients to identify tailored product solutions that align with their unique needs.
  • furnish quotes to customers promptly, ensuring accuracy and transparency throughout.
  • act as a liaison between production and customers, ensuring seamless communication to fulfill customer demands.
  • any additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • sales experience within the Oil & Gas Industry is mandatory.
  • knowledge of API682, API622, and API624 standards.
  • experience with AVL/AML/ASL acceptance protocols.
  • a valid driver’s license and a commendable driving record.
  • a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • travel up to 50%.
  • communication (verbal and written), mathematical, and analytical skills.
  • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred:

  • experience with Lamons, Garlock, Teadit, AW Chesterton, and Flexitallic products.
  • experience with Gaskets, Fittings, Graphite Gland Packings, Compression Packing, and Mechanical Seal products.
  • fluency in English and Spanish is advantageous (though not mandatory).
