Agilix Solutions is seeking a talented, enthusiastic Senior Accountant to assist the Director of Accounting with the company’s general accounting functions.

This role will report to the Director of Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and posting various journal entries.
• Preparing monthly account reconciliations.
• Managing the fixed asset system and booking applicable activity.
• Managing all prepaid expenses and booking applicable activity.
• Back-up and cross train with team members on:
• Counter sales reconciliations for all branches.
• Sales tax returns and related matters
• Maintaining books for affiliated real estate holding companies.
• Cash reconciliation duties as assigned.
• Assistance with the preparation of information for audits.
• Build and maintain relationships with employees and peers.
• Work with Director of Accounting to develop processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Other duties and projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will have good organizational skills, natural attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, possess the ability to follow through and complete tasks with a high level of speed and accuracy. 
• Qualified candidates should have strong analytical skills and be able to work efficiently in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• At least 5 years relevant work experience in a fast-paced accounting department
