Position Overview

The Accounts Receivable Senior Accountant plays a key role in the collection department by providing mentoring, motivation, strategy, and guidance to collections associates to ensure management of company risk associated with the timely collection of customer balances.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• Provide statistics, data analysis, and reports on the progress of the collection department and report out to senior management
• Build customer relationships by routinely communicating via email and phone with customers and the sales and operations departments.
• Resolve disputes, customer service issues, and handle customer complaints professionally
• Negotiate payment arrangements with customers
• Company-wide collaboration in solving collections issues through root cause analysis and leading upstream process improvement initiatives
• Set payment collection goals and targets for the department and provide leadership to achieve these goals
• Maintain accurate records
• Seek out new ways to automate, streamline, or eliminate tasks to improve processes

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance
• 3-5 years of relevant collections or accounts receivables experience
• Be familiar with credit procedures
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Acumatica preferred
