Monarch Restaurant is Hiring a Pastry Supervisor Near Dallas, TX

MONARCH is looking for a Pastry Supervisor who will responsable for leading ateam of cooks within the pastry section of a kitchen alongside the Corporate Executive Pastry Chef to keep the pastry department functioning properly.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Support the Corporate Executive Pastry Chef in daily production for all dessert items, including but not limited to plated dessert components, pastries, and ice creams.
  • Responsible for supervising and training a pastry team.
  • Overseeing kitchen organization and cleanliness 
  • Daily check of pars and quality 
  • Arrangement of production schedules and prep lists 
  • Delivery check-ins
  • Attend certain outside events and programs. 
  • Assist with PM execution and service quality.
  • Perform minor accounting
  • Other duties as requested by
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1 to 2 years or more experience in pastry production
  • Knowledge of lamination, chocolate work, production of confectioneries, and building cakes and entremets 
  • Must maintain a high level of cleanliness and be aware of all food safety standards. 
  • Must have a flexible schedule including the ability to work on holidays. 
  • A great attitude and passion for pastry
  • Ability to lead a team and follow instructions.
  • ServeSafe and Food Handler Certification are required.


SKILLS:

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication
  • This individual must be enthusiastic, punctual, and dedicated to the
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of pastry cooking skills.
  • Must be able to handle confidential
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.

THIS ROLE REQUIRES:

  • Ability to stoop, reach, bend, climb, walk
  • Ability to move equipment and/or product up to 25-50 lbs.
  • Remain stationary for an extended period of time.
  • Complete position requirements in a noisy, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle a variety of equipment safely
