Job Description
AECOM is currently seeking a Resident Engineer for a project location within the New York Metro area.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Manages multiple, complex, interconnected construction schedules in a congested and active treatment plant
Reviews project progress and schedules which requires strong construction coordination skills
Final review and authorization of contractor payments including confirmation of Prevailing Wage interviews with trades per SOP
Responsible for reviewing and resolution and/or approval of Inspector and Contractor reporting, forms, testing, compliance and coordination issues
Participates in the negotiation of all Change Orders. QA/QC program compliance
Reviews the contractor’s CPM schedule with assistance from the Scheduler, to assure that the schedule conforms to the CPM format required by the contract documents
Notifies the contractor of any work that does not conform to the requirements of the contract documents. This shall be accomplished by issuing the formal Notice of Non-Conformance
Confirming that the contractor is submitting all submittals for review in a timely fashion so as not to inhibit the progress of the work
Establishes and maintains the project files
Review of NYCDEP draft letters and Monthly NYCDEP Reports
Assist inspection staff in expediting solutions to technical field problems with design
Establishes, updated and writes project procedures and Project Work Plan
Verifies that all field testing, start-up, and operation and maintenance training activities are conducted in accordance with the contract documents
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and 8 years of construction experience in the Wastewater industry
Professional License (PE) - New York
OSHA 10
HAZWOPER 40
Valid US Driver’s License
Construction Management experience on at least one large, long term wastewater, high value wastewater treatment capital improvement program (or aggregate of $350M in value)
Diaphragm/Slurry wall experience
Experience in deep excavation techniques and shoring
Preferred Qualifications
CCM qualifications
OSHA 30
15 years of construction experience in the Wastewater industry
Experience in MUTCD
NYCDEP Client experience
Knowledge of Maritime Construction
Experience in ground stabilization and remediation

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position typically is $133,515.20 - $190,236.80.
