AE Works is currently seeking a proficient Technical Writer with a specialization in proposal writing and content creation to enhance our Architecture/Engineering (A/E) team. This pivotal role is tailored for a detail-oriented individual who excels in translating complex technical concepts into compelling narratives. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Proposal Specialist to join our dynamic Architecture/Engineering (A/E) firm. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex proposals from inception to submission. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional writing, organization, and project management skills.

Role and Responsibilities for Position:

• Technical Proposal Writing: Spearhead the creation of technical proposals by synthesizing information from various sources to articulate our firm’s capabilities, differentiators, and value proposition. Ensure all content is compliant with client specifications and industry standards
• Content Development & Management: Develop and manage a comprehensive content strategy for proposals, including writing, editing, and proofreading to ensure clarity, grammatical accuracy, and alignment with our brand voice
• Collaborative Strategy & Execution: Collaborate effectively with technical teams, marketing personnel, and executive leadership to gather essential insights and data for proposals. Lead strategy sessions to outline proposals that highlight our firm’s strengths and address client needs
• Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, potential clients, and competitors to inform and enhance proposal strategies
• Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of quality and consistency in all proposal documentation, ensuring adherence to firm’s branding and messaging guidelines
• Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to the proposal development process by incorporating feedback, lessons learned, and industry best practices
• Client Engagement: Interface with clients as necessary throughout the proposal phase to refine requirements, solicit feedback, or present key proposal components

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, or a related discipline
• 7-10 years of experience in technical writing or proposal development, with a preference for candidates familiar with the A/E industry, though not mandatory
• Demonstrated ability in managing complex writing projects, from conception through delivery, with a keen eye for detail
• Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a capacity to convey complex information clearly and persuasively
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and experience with proposal management software
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects under tight deadlines
