Job Description:

The Technical Writer / Editor will be part of a dynamic Business Development (BD) team focused on one thing - growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing and editing technical documentation/responses to federal proposals Cydecor is in pursuit. This position will have influence over intermediate and long-term growth-focused goals for the company.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and edit technical proposal response documentation in support of multiple federal Request for Proposals (RFP’s)
• Review and edit work produced by others for grammar, readability, syntax, punctuation and general correctness.
• Gather, translate and organize technical data sets into a digestible, readable narrative for the layman
• Documentation adheres to established style guides, standards, and templates, and maintain a consistent writing style (one voice) across various volumes/materials
• Engage with and interview Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Project/Program Managers (PMs) to extract, translate and develop technical responses
• Conceptualize, write, edit, and review proposal response documentation such as Technical Volumes, Management/Staffing/Transition Plans
• Maintain compliance with technical requirements solicited by the government

Here's what you need:

• Experience developing federal proposal response documents in pursuit of DoD/IC Requests for Proposals (RFPs) is preferred
• Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to quickly grasp and explain complex technical concepts
• Collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, customer-focused environment
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
• Proficient with producing professional work products using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint)

Great if you had:

• At least 2 years successfully performing as a Technical Writer in the federal government space, supporting the DoD/IC
• BA in English or History

Security Clearance:

• Ability to Obtain a DOD Security Clearance

Education:

• BS/BA from an accredited University
• Bachelor’s Degree may be substituted with 4 years of experience.

Work Schedule:

• Onsite with some telework negotiable
