CVP is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join the team and help build involvement and productive relationships. The professional in this role will support high-quality program deliverables and ensure that messages are communicated well. This role requires onsite support 1 day a week. Responsibilities: * Maintain responsibility for tech writing tasks - plan work, perform reviews, ensure technical writing assignments are completed on time, and perform continuous improvements. * Collaborate with other team areas to ensure quality processes are integrated and quality dates are met. * Write and/or edit technical documents including but not limited to; Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), business proposals, reports, user manuals, briefings, presentations, functional descriptions, system specifications, guidelines, and special reports. * Develop outlines and drafts for review and approval by technical specialists and project management, ensuring that final documents meet applicable contract requirements and regulations. * Research and gather technical background information for inclusion in project documentation and deliverables. * Consult relevant information sources, including library resources, technical and financial documents, and client and project personnel, to obtain background information, and verify pertinent guidelines and regulations governing project deliverables. * Will travel on occasion to support customer directed conferences Qualifications: * Ability to obtain a US Security Public Trust Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required) * Bachelor's Degree. * 6 years of previous experience directly supporting officials in the federal government. * Demonstrated ability to use writing guides and templates * Ability to turn around documents in a short period (could be 48 hours) * Ability to apply quality control procedures and work in a team environment to quality check peer documents * Write, edit, and format official government documents, some at the Presidential level * Stakeholder engagement skills * Ability to work under pressure with deadlines * Demonstrate initiative Desired Skills * Understand cyber and critical infrastructure Company Description Here at CVP we value our Veterans and encourage all to apply!
