Wound Care Coordinator will support associates in their care of wounds by consulting at the bedside and providing assistance with ongoing wound care outside the normal scope of the staff RN.
Licensure :
Nurse, Registered (RN)
Education / Experience Required :
Effective January 1, 2012 : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Board Certification by 12 / 31 / 2015 or within two years of hire
4 years clinical experience as an RN in wound care.
Education requirements if hired into this position prior to January 1, 2012 :
bachelor's degree.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available.
Unique patient lifting / movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
