Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will provide essential support to healthcare professionals in a clinical setting. Your role will involve a combination of administrative tasks and direct patient care. Responsibilities:
- Provide medical administrative support by scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing billing and insurance claims
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications as directed by physicians
- Perform basic coding and documentation of medical procedures
- Experience with using EKG with patients.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries, providing information, and ensuring patient comfort
- Utilize medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to accurately communicate with healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant certification
- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of basic anatomy
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism
- Basic knowledge of medication administration procedures
- Familiarity with coding systems used in healthcare facilities
Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
