We are looking for a medical assistant for its small medical office in Newport Beach. We are a growing medical practice, with a lot of opportunities for medical assistants to learn and grow professionally.

Other duties for the medical assistant:

• First point of contact with our patients (phone, email, and online health records)
• Providing excellent service to our patients and make them feel valued
• Assisting physicians
• Promoting our services

Knowledge and Skills Requirements For the Medical Assistant:

• Friendly with excellent interpersonal skills
• Multi-skilled, meaning someone who could manage an office, but also has the ability to promote our services
• Ability to manage people (patient concerns)
• Present well to patients and referring physicians
• A working knowledge of healthcare
• Comfortable with closing sales/asking for business
• Friendly telephone communication skills (someone who smiles on the phone)
• Good organizational skills, and problem-solving skills
• A basic understanding of medical terminology
• EMR/EHR experience
• Medical Assistant must feel comfortable using Google Drive and other computer programs
• Medical assistant must have the following back office experience: Phlebotomy experience is required, EKG skills, Checking vitals, Procedure scheduling, Sending referrals for testing at other facilities
