Summary:

Outside Sales Representative - Factory Automation Machinery

We are seeking an experienced and driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team at a leading Japanese trading company specializing in factory automation machinery and solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing the sales cycle for the industrial clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and prospect potential customers in the manufacturing sector through networking, cold calling, trade shows, and other lead generation activities.
  • Conduct face-to-face sales meetings and product demonstrations with clients to understand their automation needs and requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling product presentations, proposals and quotations to prospective customers.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and contractual agreements to close sales deals profitably.
  • Collaborate with technical specialists to ensure successful implementation of automation systems.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business.
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitor activities and new product offerings.
  • Meet and exceed quarterly/annual sales targets and revenue goals.

Qualifications/Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Sales or relevant field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of proven outside sales experience, preferably in industrial/manufacturing sales
  • Strong technical aptitude with understanding of factory automation processes/machinery
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to travel for client visits and industry events
  • Proficiency in English language skills (reading/writing/speaking)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
