Actalent is Hiring an Electrical Design Engineer Near Louisville, KY
Description:
The electrical design engineer will support existing controls systems and will be tasked with figuring out the inputs/outputs, redesigning the system, transferring from Docks to Linux and then handing off to the panel shop.
Responsibilities will also include:
- Costing/estimating for control system design and retrofits
- Electrical/control panel and motor control center (MCC) design, retrofit designs
- Spec-ing parts and preparing quotes
- AutoCAD design and building BOM’s
- Troubleshoot customer issues via telephone as needed
- Following asphalt processes
- Travel 10-15% for training purposes and to make customer visits
- Help to build and run the Electrical Engineering department as they work to roll out a brand new industry leading control system product
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in Electrical Engineering and process safety controls
- Experience with Design for new and retro fit equipment vs just maintenance
- Experience with electrical engineering and design for industrial control systems (Motor Control Center)
- Experience in industries involving liquids and blending are transferable, such as distillery's, or experience with rotary drying systems is a plus
