As our new Human Resources Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • A generalist role within the Human Resources discipline; administration, recruitment, employee relations, learning and development.
  • You will be responsible for assisting the Human Resources Manager in building and sustaining positive internal and external relationships with associates, managers and candidates for employment.
  • Provide consistently high standard of support and guidance to all the stakeholders within our organisation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of employee and property records, files, and information.
  • Respond to questions, requests, and concerns from employees and management regarding company and Human Resources programs, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files. 
  • Collect and analysing employee data via internal surveys to measure employer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for keeping all relevant HR documentation up to date with industry and South African legislation and ensure the correct procedures are implemented and followed.
  • Help drive company values and philosophy and ensures all training and development activities are strategically linked to the organization’s mission and vision.
  • Works with property leadership team to identify and address employee and organizational development needs.
  • Ensure effective training is in place to enable the achievement of desired business results. Training programs focus on a variety of topics, including product knowledge, company philosophy, and customer service and leadership skills.
  • Compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and company policies and standards
  • Work closely with the Human Resources Manager to plan and manage Associate Events and Wellness activities. 

What we are looking for:

  • Sustained and proven experience as an HR generalist
  • Previous Learning and Development experience advantageous
  • A positive outlook and outgoing personality
  • Great hospitality skills as well as meticulous attention to detail
  • Matric and a tertiary qualification in the Human Resources field.
  • Clear Criminal record
  • Computer literate on MS Office.
  • Mhub Experience advantageous
  • Strong planning and organizing skills to meet deadlines
  • Effective problem solving, decision making and conflict management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to all levels of management
  • Excellent listening skills and respect for keeping information confidential.
  • Ability to work within a pressurized environment,
  • Ability to use Initiative and be pro-active and self-driven
